Courier delivery in your city: how to order quickly and cheaply

When you need a courier, not a taxi or the post

A courier helps where it is not worth going yourself: handing over documents, giving keys, bringing a forgotten item, delivering flowers or a cake by a certain hour. Often you need it the same day, so searching for someone through ads and phoning is a poor use of time.

On BlaBlaPrice you write a request, and couriers offer their own price and pickup time. They see where their offer ranks, so they compete for your order. It is free for the person ordering, and your phone number does not go to everybody.

How to choose the type of courier

A courier on foot suits documents and small items within a central area. A scooter or bicycle gets through traffic faster over medium distances. A courier with a car is needed for several boxes, or fragile or bulky items. If the delivery is between distant areas, a car is more convenient, as the distance decides the price.

Talk about the deadline separately. “Today by 6 pm” and “within an hour” are different jobs in cost. The more exact the time window, the more accurate the price.

What to put in your request

  • From where to where — addresses or areas for pickup and delivery.
  • What to deliver — documents, boxes, flowers, food, keys.
  • Weight and size — for example, 3 boxes up to 10 kg.
  • When — pickup time or the final deadline.
  • The courier’s vehicle — on foot, scooter, car.
  • One-off or regular — if you need daily deliveries, state how many.
  • Purchase or payment — whether the courier has to buy something or collect money from the recipient.
  • Budget — if you want to name one.

Example: “I need a courier with a car in Bengaluru: pick up 3 boxes up to 10 kg in Indiranagar and deliver to Electronic City today by 6 pm. Payment for the purchase in cash from the recipient. Budget up to ₹700.”

What to compare in the replies

See whether the price includes waiting at the recipient’s place, whether there is a charge for each extra address, and whether they add a surcharge for weight. For orders with a purchase, ask how the purchase is confirmed: a receipt, a photo or a direct message.

For regular delivery, for example for a small business, agree on a fixed monthly rate and a clear schedule. Reviews beside the offer help you choose a reliable provider, not only the cheapest.

Common mistakes

Not giving the recipient’s floor and gate or intercom code, so the courier loses time. Not warning that the item is fragile or contains liquid. Sending money in advance to an unknown person without agreeing in the chat. Not discussing what happens if the recipient is not there.

For bulkier loads, see freight transport, and for sending abroad, international parcel delivery. A general overview is in the “Transport and delivery” section.

Questions and answers

Can I order a courier for today?

Yes, state the time and the word “urgent” in the request. Couriers who can set off now will reply with a price.

Can a courier buy something and bring it?

Yes. In the request, write what to buy, where and how to pay. Check in the chat whether there is a separate charge for the service.

What is better for regular deliveries?

Agree on a fixed rate for the number of deliveries per week or month. In the request, state the approximate volume and the routes.

Which of my contacts do couriers see?

None: your phone and messengers are hidden. You give them only to the courier you choose.
