Pet services: how to book grooming, a vet or boarding
First decide what your pet needs
Pet services fall into care, treatment, keeping the animal while you are away, and transport. A grooming salon will not replace a vet, and a pet sitter at home is not the same as a dog boarding kennel. So first work out what your pet needs, and only then look for a provider.
State the species, breed, age and special traits. An anxious cat, an old dog or a puppy without vaccinations need different handling, and a good professional will take that into account.
Where to turn
- Care — grooming, haircuts, salons and cat grooming: hygiene, clipping, trimming, brushing.
- Health — veterinary care, home visits, vaccination and microchipping, spaying and neutering.
- Training and walks — dog training with a trainer, dog walking.
- While you are away — boarding and pet hotels, a pet sitter at home.
- Transport and farewell — pet taxi, cremation and burial.
What to put in your request
- Species and breed — size, weight, age, temperament.
- Which service — haircut, bath, vaccination, walks, care.
- Health — chronic illness, allergies, aggression or fear, vaccinations.
- When and how much — date, duration, one-off or regular.
- Place — area, home visit or at the provider's premises.
- Conditions — whether you need to bring your own medicine, food, bed, toys.
- Budget — if you want to name it.
Example: “I need grooming for a Yorkshire Terrier, 4 years old, calm: bath, hygiene trim, ear cleaning. Jaipur, at a salon or a home visit, this week, budget up to ₹800.”
How BlaBlaPrice works for such services
You do not call salons or compare price lists, you write one request in your own words. You do not need to pick a category, and before it is shown to providers it is checked and you are told what is still missing. Groomers, vets, trainers and boarding places in your area reply in the chat: the price or what it depends on, timing, what is included. The best-value offer is shown first, with reviews beside it. Contacts stay hidden and you give them only to the provider you choose. Read more on the How it works page, and you can create a request here.
How to compare and what to watch for
The price of grooming depends on size, breed, coat condition and difficulty, so compare offers for the same set of procedures. For boarding, ask where the animal will live, how many times a day it is walked, whether there are cameras, and what happens if it falls ill. Ask a trainer about methods: it is good when they work without cruelty. For veterinary matters, trust only qualified doctors: a diagnosis is not made in a chat. Before the first service, visit the place or meet the provider.
Agree on small things before you start: whether the animal can bring its own food, what to do in case of stress, whether the provider can send photos and videos during care. Give a dog walker or pet sitter the contact of your vet clinic and tell them how your pet behaves when healthy, so that any change is seen at once. Ask for a short report after each visit.
Do not choose just by the lowest price: for the care of a living creature, experience and a clear agreement on what the service includes matter more. Compare reviews and ask about similar cases.
