Pet taxi and pet transport: how to book and compare prices
What kind of trip do you need
A pet taxi is not only a ride to the clinic. There is the one-way trip, the trip with waiting (take your pet to the vet, wait, bring it home), the intercity transfer and the international one with paperwork. The type decides who suits you: a city driver, a long-distance transporter or a specialist company that knows how to arrange travel abroad.
How to book through BlaBlaPrice
In your request you write where from and where to, what animal it is and how much it weighs, the date and time, and whether you are travelling along. The site checks the text and points out what is missing. Drivers reply in the chat with a price, or with what the price depends on, and their terms. Reviews of each provider are shown next to the offers, and the best offer by substance comes first. You open contacts only for the one you choose. The general idea is on the “How it works” page.
What to include
- From and to — addresses, the clinic, the city or the country;
- The animal — species, breed, weight (a big dog needs a different vehicle);
- Date and time, and any flexibility;
- Type of trip — one way, with waiting, intercity;
- Carrier and company — whether you have a carrier, whether you ride along;
- Documents — vaccination card, microchip, vaccinations, if you are travelling abroad;
- Budget, if you want to name one.
Example: “German Shepherd, 40 kg, a trip to the vet clinic and back, with up to an hour of waiting. Pick-up from Viman Nagar, Pune, tomorrow at 10:00. I will ride along with the dog, leash and muzzle are ready. Budget up to ₹1,200.”
What affects the price
Distance, waiting time, the size of the animal and the vehicle requirements (air conditioning, room for a large crate), as well as night or holiday hours. For several animals the price may be calculated differently, so say how many there are. For trips abroad, paperwork comes in as well: ask separately whether the transporter helps with it or only drives, and do not rely on “we will sort it out on the spot”.
How to compare and prepare
Ask whether the vehicle has air conditioning, seat belts or fixings for the carrier, whether the driver avoids smoking in the car and whether they have experience with this kind of animal. Check whether the price is final and whether waiting is included. For international trips, ask about documents and border crossings. Do not feed your pet right before leaving, and take water, a bowl and a favourite toy. Walk a dog before the trip; for a cat, prepare the carrier with an absorbent pad. For a long journey, agree on stops. If treatment is what you need, see veterinary care, and for vaccinations before travel see vaccination and microchipping.
